If you like textured yarns this is the one for you! When knit alone it is light like the air. When knit together with another yarn it will provide warmth without making it heavy. Its softness is incomparable.
And yes, it is the perfect substitute for mohair. Or rather... Let the mohair be prepared, because the composition of this wool is going to dazzle you, you won't want another one!
In short:
- 50 gr skeins
- Weight: lace
- Metreage: 400 m
- Composition: 42% baby alpaca, 35% solk, 13% superfine merino, 10% yak
- Spun in 2 plies
- Needles: if you knit it single use 3mm needles or bigger. You can knit it together with any yarn you want, I strongly recommend to knit a small swatch to see which needle gauge you prefer.
- None of the fibers is superwash.
- Origin: Alpaca and merino from Perú, from cruelty free farms. Silk from China. Yak from Tibet and Mongolia.
Information and care
Information and care
Colors change in each lot, and sometimes even in each skein. If you want to avoid problems you should combine skeins as you knit. Oh, and try to buy all the skeins you need for your project in one order, the differences between dyeing lots are usually evident.
Every monitor shows colors in a slightly different way, and even though I take a lot of care when I edit the photos, what you see on screen will never be exactly what you see in the real skein. Also, the photos you see on the page are usually not of the same skeins that I am going to send you, although discreet, there are always some variations.
Wash the finished piece carefully in cold water (NOT WARM!!!) and with the same shampoo you use for your hair. You don't need to use vinegar. In the first washes a little dye can be released, so if you are going to use very contrasting colors it is better to knit a small sample and wash it. This is impossible to avoid, so I will repeat it a thousand times if necessary: wash with cold water and shampoo!
Unless otherwise stated, prices are for one skein.

Shipping
Shipping is automatically calculated in your shopping cart. You only need to enter your country, region, and postal code (I won't be able to see this information, so you'll remain anonymous until you complete your purchase!).
I ship orders once a week, usually on Wednesdays.
You'll receive a confirmation email when your yarn is ready to ship.
Once your order ships, it usually takes between one and three days (normally no more than two) if you live in mainland Spain, Portugal, or Andorra. International and island deliveries are more unpredictable, although they usually take no more than a week.
If you have any questions or are in a hurry, please contact me before placing your order.
